Artificial stone worktops

Artificial stone is a composite material consisting of acrylic resin, natural mineral fillers and pigment additives. In other words, acrylic (a substance very similar to plastic) is mixed with stone chips and then pigmented (painted). The finished Worktop consists of a chipboard or plywood sheet on which acrylic stone is coated. Then it is polished to achieve the effect of matte, semi-matte and gloss.

It is a composite that seems to look like a natural material. The main advantages of this option are many variations of design and seamless connection.

Acrylic stone is flexible, so there are practically no restrictions on shapes and sizes. And because it is seamless, it looks very aesthetically appealing and complete. Especially when the worktop harmoniously flows into a sink made of the same material. Artificial stone is resistant to UV radiation and moisture. A big advantage is that it can be restored.

Quartz worktops are formed by combining the natural material quartz, high-quality polyester resin and coloured pigment. Moreover, quartz content, one of the hardest natural materials, is about 95%. The hardness of such worktops exceeds granite.

Quartz worktops are a composite material – resistant to scratches, abrasion and moisture. Quartzite is moisture and UV resistant, but the choice of cleaning solutions should be made considering that products with abrasive particles can damage the surface. Among the advantages of quartzite are its heat resistance,1 wear resistance, design and the fact that the core of the board completely matches the texture of the front part.
